I Saw One Weary

1. I saw one weary, sad, and torn,
With eager steps press on the way,
Who long the hallowed cross had born,
Still looking for the promised day;
While many a line of grief and care,
Upon his brow was furrowed there;
I asked what buoyed his spirits up,
“O this” said he-“the blessed hope.”

2. And one I saw, with sword and shield,
Who boldly braved the world’s cold frown,
And fought, unyielding, on the field,
To win an everlasting crown.
Though worn with toil, oppressed by foes,
No murmur from his heart arose;
I asked what buoyed his spirits up,
“O this!” said he-“the blessed hope.”

3. And there was one who left behind
The cherished friends of early years,
And honor, pleasure, wealth re-signed,
To tread the path bedewed with tears.
Through trials deep and conflict sore,
Yet still a smile of joy he wore;
O! what can buoy the spirit up?
‘Tis this alone-the blessed hope.

4. While pilgrims here we journey on
In this dark vale of sin and gloom,
Through tribulation, hate, and scorn,
Or through the portals of the tomb,
Till our returning King shall come
To take His exile captives home,
O! what can buoy the spirits up?
‘Tis this alone– the blessed hope.

Have you heard the message?

1
Have you heard the wondrous message
of the coming of the Lord?
He will call the faithful to the other shore.
If you’ve made the preparation,
when the midnight trumpet sounds
He will take you to His home forevermore.

Refrain:
He’s coming! He’s coming! Behold!
The glorious event long foretold.
Pearly gates will open wide
for the saved and glorified,
Who will find a beauteous Eden now restored.
In triumphant song uniting
with the happy angel throng
They shall dwell forever with the Lord.

2
We will ascend to the heaven with the angels of the light,
and the loved ones, they will join us in the air.
we won't be never asunder, in that city that's so bright
because we'll abide with Jesus everyday.

3
Then we'll visit to those worlds where the sin they never knew,
and we'll talk about Christ Jesus and His might.
Who came looking for us sinners just to give us ageless life,
and we'll see the years passing byand by.

4
Then we'll see the ages passing without counting every year,
in eternal youth we'll live forever more.
We'll abide with Jesus ever with no sorrow, with no fear,
and we'll be under the shadow of the Lord.

There is A Place I Love To Be

1 There is a place I love to be,
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet,
To linger there is joy to me,
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet.

Refrain:
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet,
I sweetly rest, and I am blest;
My peace is perfect and complete,
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet.

2 The world cannot disturb my peace;
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet,
And love doeth more and more increase
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet. [Refrain]

3 I cannot have a doubt nor fear;
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet,
For all is sunshine, love and cheer,
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet. [Refrain]

4 Here will I linger day by day;
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet,
Here will I feast my soul alway,
Down low at my Redeemer’s feet. [Refrain]

There’s an Eye that’s watching o’er me

1. There’s an Eye that’s watching o’er me
In the shadow, in the light
Ev’ry step that lies before me
Plann’d by His all perfect sight
Up the sunny hills of gladness
Thro the valley, lone and dim
Well I know in joy and sadness
All my paths shall lead to Him

Chorus
There’s an eye that’s watching o’er me
There’s a Friend that plans my way
T’ward the shining goal before me
He will lead me day by day

2. There’s a Hand whose gentle pressure
Tells me that my Friend is near
He will hallow grief and pleasure
He will save me from all fear
Surely His hand will uphold me
Wounded, bleeding once for me
Safely will His arms fold me
Till I reach the crystal sea

3. There’s a Heart for sinners broken
In that broken heart I hide
Since His word hath comfort spoken
Since He drew me to His side
O with love that heart is beating
Fill’d with tenderness divine
Grace and truth in Him are meeting
I am His and He is mine

Hasten on, day eternal!

1. I am waiting for the morning
Of the day that brings release,
Waiting for the golden dawning
Of God's everlasting peace.

Chorus:
Hasten on, day eternal!
Bid the night of sorrow cease;
Usher in love supernal,
Bring the golden (golden dawn)
Dawn of peace (golden dawn of peace)

2. O'er the hilltops brightly breaking,
Sun of Righteousness arise,
Ev'ry soul from slumber waking
As God's glory gilds the skies. [Chorus]

3. Endless joy for hours of crying,
Everlasting peace for care;
Immortality for dying,
Hallelujahs glad, for prayer! [Chorus]

There Is Rest For The Weary

1. In the Christian's home in glory
There remains a land of rest;
And my Savior's gone before me
To fulfill my soul's request.

Refrain:
There is rest for the weary,
There is rest for the weary,
There is rest for the weary,
There is rest for you.
On the other side of Jordan,
In the sweet fields of Eden,
Where the tree of life is blooming,
There is rest for you.

2 He is fitting up my mansion,
Which eternally shall stand,
For my stay shall not be transient
In that holy, happy land. [Refrain]

3 Sing, O sing ye heirs of glory!
Shout your triumph as you go!
Zion's gates will open for you,
You shall find an entrance through. [Refrain]

O the way is long and weary

1. O the way is long and weary,
And our bleeding feet are sore;
Is it far to Canaan’s land?
Is it far to Canaan’s land?
In the desert we are longing
For its shelter more and more
Is it far, is it far to Canaan’s land?

Refrain
We are weary, we are weary
Sadly wand’ring thro’ the wilderness,
And o’er the desert sand;
We are weary, oh so weary,
Is it far, is it far to Canaan’s land?

2. Thro’ the wilderness we’re foll’wing
Where the stronger ones have led;
Is it far to Canaan’s land?
Is it far to Canaan’s land?
Where the sand is often burning,
And the ground our only bed.
Is it far, is it far to Canaan’s land? [Refrain]

3. O how sweet would be a resting place,
A safe and quiet home;
Is it far to Canaan’s land?
Is it far to Canaan’s land?
Where the cruel days of bondage
And of fear will never come,
Is it far, is it far to Canaan’s land? [Refrain]

Keep Looking Up

Life has its joys and sorrows, too,
Sometimes the mists will hide our view;
If we would hope and strength renew,
There’s just one thing to do:

Refrain:
Keep looking up, thy God is still the same today,
Keep looking up, He will not fail thee, come what may;
Keep looking up, the darkest cloud will roll away,
So do not doubt, but keep looking up!

When darkened clouds have filled your sky,
And faithless friends have passed you by;
When prone to doubt or reason why,
There’s just one thing to do:

So when your faith is sorely tried,
And earnest prayers have been denied;
Whenever you need a faithful guide,
There’s just one thing to do:

— Virgil P. Brock

I hear my blessed Saviour say

1 I hear my blessed Saviour say:
“Follow me, follow me, follow me;”
His voice is calling all the day,
“Follow me, follow me, follow me;
For thee I trod the bitter way,
For thee I gave my life away,
And drank the gall thy debt to pay,
Follow me, follow me, follow me.”

2 “Tho’ thou hast sinn’d, I’ll pardon thee,
Follow me, follow me, follow me;
From ev’ry sin I’ll set thee free,
Follow me, follow me, follow me;
In all Thy changing life I’ll be
Thy God, thy guide on land and sea,
Thy bliss thro’ all eternity,
Follow me, follow me, follow me.”

3 “Bring unto me thy many cares,
Follow me, follow me, follow me;
Thy heavy load my arm upbears,
Follow me, follow me, follow me;
Lean on my breast, dismiss thy fears,
And trust me thro’ thy future years,
My hand shall wipe away all tears,
Follow me, follow me, follow me.”

Hear the blessed Savior calling the oppressed

1 Hear the blessed Savior calling the oppressed,
“O ye heavy-laden, come to Me and rest;
Come, no longer tarry, I your load will bear,
Bring Me every burden, bring Me ev'ry care.”

Chorus:
Come unto Me; I will give you rest;
Take My yoke upon you, hear Me and be blest;
I am meek and lowly, come and trust My might;
Come, My yoke is easy, and My burden’s light.

2 Are you disappointed, wand’ring here and there,
Dragging chains of doubt and loaded down with care?
Do unholy feelings struggle in your breast?
Bring your case to Jesus, He will give you rest.

3 Stumbling on the mountains dark with sin and shame,
Stumbling toward the pit of hell’s consuming flame;
By the pow’rs of sin deluded and oppressed,
Hear the tender Shepherd, “Come to Me and rest.”

4. Have you cares of business, cares of pressing debt,
Cares of social life or cares of hopes unmet,
Are you by remorse or sense of guilt depressed,
Come right on to Jesus, he will give you rest.

5 Have you by temptation often conquered been,
Has a sense of weakness brought distress within?
Christ will sanctify you, if you’ll claim His best,
In the Holy Spirit He will give you rest.

You Say

Song by Lauren Daigle

I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough

Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low
Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know
Ooh-oh
You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And you say I am held when I am falling short
And when I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe (I)
Oh, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe
The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity
Ooh-oh
You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And you say I am held when I am falling short
When I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe (I)
Oh, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
Oh, I believe
Taking all I have, and now I'm laying it at Your feet
You have every failure, God, You have every victory
Ooh-oh
You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe (I)
Oh, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe
Oh, I believe (I)
Yes, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe

God understands your sorrow

Song by Oswald J. Smith

1.  God understands your sorrow,
He sees the falling tear,
And whispers, "I am with thee;"
then falter not, nor fear.
He understands your longing,
Your deepest grief He shares;
Then let Him bear your burden,
He understands, and cares.

2.   God understands your heartache,
He knows the bitter pain;
O, trust Him in the darkness,
you cannot trust in vain.
He understands your longing,
Your deepest grief He shares;
Then let Him bear your burden,
He understands, and cares

3.  God understands your weakness,
He knows the tempter's power;
And He will walk beside you
however dark the hour.
He understands your longing,
Your deepest grief He shares;
Then let Him bear your burden,
He understands, and cares

Never Alone

1. I’ve seen the lightning flashing,
  And heard the thunder roll;
I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing,
  Trying to conquer my soul;
I’ve heard the voice of Jesus,
  Telling me still to fight on;
He promised never to leave me,
  Never to leave me alone.

Chorus
No, never alone,
No, never alone,
He promised never to leave me,
Never to leave me alone;
No, never alone,
No, never alone,
He promised never to leave me,
Never to leave me alone.

2. The world’s fierce winds are blowing,
  Temptations are sharp and keen;
I feel a peace in knowing
  My Savior stands between;
He stands to shield me from danger,
  When earthly friends are gone,
He promised never to leave me,
  Never to leave me alone.

3. When in affliction’s valley,
  I’m treading the road of care,
My Savior helps me to carry
  My cross when heavy to bear;
My feet entangled with briars,
  Ready to cast me down;
My Savior whispered His promise,
  Never to leave me alone.

4. He died for me on the mountain,
  For me they pierced His side,
For me He opened that fountain,
  The crimson, cleansing tide;
For me He waiteth in glory,
  Seated upon His throne;
He promised never to leave me,
  Never to leave me alone.

No one could ever separate us

Original title: Jamás Podrá Alguien Separarnos
Author: Nicolás Samojluk

No one could ever separate us
from the love of Jesus Christ my Lord
Nor any other thing can banish
The joy my Jesus has restored
Nor peril, sword or tribulation
Nor death, nor sorrow, pain, or shame
Nor worldly treasures and temptations
Its honors, glory, pomp, and fame

For my transgressions He was wounded
despised, afflicted, bruised, and torn
With cruel fury He was smitten
to take our sorrows and our griefs
How then can we be so ungrateful
and depart from Him who loved us so
And hide our face from Him who suffered
to give us life, to give us peace

Psalm 23 (Bluegrass Brethren)

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want
He makes me to lie in pastures green
He leads me beside the still waters
In His righteous path He will lead

Surely goodness and mercy
Shall follow me all of my days
And I will dwell with Him forever
Where I will give Him my praise

Though through the dark valley I travel
No fear will I have where e're I go
His rod and His staff give protection
He brings great comfort to my soul

Surely goodness and mercy
Shall follow me all of my days
And I will dwell with Him forever
Where I will give Him my praise

He sets a table before me
In the presence of my foes
He anoints my head with oil
My cup of blessing overflows

Surely goodness and mercy
Shall follow me all of my days
And I will dwell with Him forever
Where I will give Him my praise

And I will dwell with Him forever
Where I will give Him my praise

Jesus Really Cares

Song by the Bluegrass Brethren

Sin was all around me
Jesus came and found me
Loosed me from my chains and set me free
Then He took my sorrow, gave joy for tomorrow
I'm grateful that He cared for me

He took my life and changed me from the inside out
He saved my soul, He removed all fear and doubt
And when I call He will answer every prayer
That's how I know that Jesus really cares

When I was lonely, Jesus was the only
One who really cared for me
He came along beside me
And sweet comfort gave me
He was there to meet my every need

He took my life and changed me from the inside out
He saved my soul, He removed all fear and doubt
And when I call He will answer every prayer
That's how I know that Jesus really cares

When I kneel in prayer He is always there
I know He will lend a listening ear
I give to Him my trial, knowing all the while
Trusting in Him I need never fear

He took my life and changed me from the inside out
He saved my soul, He removed all fear and doubt
And when I call He will answer every prayer
That's how I know Jesus really cares

That's how I know that Jesus really cares

When I Cry

Makin' a list of all of the good things You've done for me
Lord, I've never been one to complain
But right now I'm lost and I can't find my way
My world's come apart and it's breakin' my heart
But it helps to know Your heart is breakin' too

When I cry, You cry
When I hurt, You hurt
When I've lost someone
It takes a piece of You, too
And when I fall on my face
You fill me with grace
'Cause nothin' breaks Your heart
Or tears You apart
Like when I cry

Alone in the dark, face in my hands, crying out to You
Lord, there's never been a time in my life
There's so much at stake, there's so much to lose
But I trust it to You
You'll bring me through
And it helps me to know that I'm not alone

When I cry, You cry
When I hurt, You hurt
When I've lost someone
It takes a piece of You, too
And when I fall on my face
You fill me with grace
'Cause nothin' breaks Your heart
Or tears You apart
Like when I cry

You're the one who calmed the raging sea
You're the one who made the blind to see
You looked through all of heaven and eternity
And through it all you saw me...

When I cry, You cry
When I hurt, You hurt
And when I've lost someone it takes a piece of You, too
When I fall on my face, You fill me with grace
Nothing breaks your heart, or tears you apart
Like when I cry

No Longer Slaves

 You unravel me with a melody
You surround me with a song
Of deliverance from my enemies
'Til all my fears are gone

I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God

From my mother's womb
You have chosen me
Love has called my name
I've been born again to a family
Your blood flows through my veins

I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God

I am surrounded
By the arms of the Father
I am surrounded
By songs of deliverance

We've been liberated
From our bondage
We're the sons and the daughters
Let us sing our freedom

You split the sea
So I could walk right through it
My fears are drowned in perfect love
You rescued me
And I will stand and sing
I am a child of God

You split the sea
So I could walk right through it
You drown my fears in perfect love
You rescued me
And I will stand and sing
I am a child of God

Yes, I am
I am a child of God
I am a child of God
Yes, I am
I am a child of God
Full of faith
Yes, I am a child of God
I am a child of God

I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God

No one but Jesus Christ

Original Spanish Title: Solo Cristo Jesus

On a day like today
I had much on my mind
I wanted to know more
about the wisdom that
I had heard the day before
On a day like today
while reading I had learned
Through Christ I can do all things,
He strengthens me as I walk with Him

No one but Jesus Christ
can take away my sorrow
He can work things out,
there isn’t a problem
that He can’t resolve
No one but Jesus Christ
can give you salvation
He offers you His peace
and He offers you a place
to enter His joy

On a day like today
I would like to sing
telling everyone I meet
that in Christ alone
is where you will find peace
In a day like today
He will work things out
so that all of your dreams
and all that you hoped for
become reality

No one but Jesus Christ
can take away my sorrow
He can work things out,
there isn’t a problem
that He can’t resolve
No one but Jesus Christ
can give you salvation
He offers you His peace
and He offers you a place
to enter His joy

No one but Jesus Christ
can take away my sorrow
He can work things out,
there isn’t a problem
that He can’t resolve
No one but Jesus Christ
can give you salvation
He offers you His peace
and He offers you a place
to enter His joy

Purify me Lord

Original Spanish Title: PurifĂcame (El Sanctuario Celestial)

Today I draw near unto your throne oh God
In your sanctuary is where I long to be
where stands now my intercessor and advocate
The Lord Jesus Christ who ministers there for me

May my prayers ascend before your altar oh God
like a sweet smelling incense unto you oh Lord
May you change my life from the inside out oh God
by the grace and the righteousness of your great love

Purify me Lord
through the blood of Jesus the redeeming lamb
May the peace of God
fill my entire heart, fill my entire soul
Lord Jesus Christ, dwell in me
Yes Lord, I want to do Your will

Oh in the judgment before the heavenly throne
You no longer see my sin and all I’ve done wrong
You only see Jesus standing in my place
for it is He who helps me in my great need

Oh may the forgiveness that only you can give
be accepting of me just as I am oh God
May it transform me through the grace of Your Son
and let your Spirit engrave your law in my heart

Purify me Lord
through the blood of Jesus the redeeming lamb
May the peace of God
fill my entire heart, fill my entire soul
Lord Jesus Christ, dwell in me
Yes Lord, I want to do Your will

Purify me Lord
through the blood of Jesus the redeeming lamb
May the peace of God
fill my entire heart, fill my entire soul
Lord Jesus Christ, dwell in me
Yes Lord, I want to do Your will

Lord Jesus Christ, dwell in me
Yes Lord, I want to do Your will
