It Is Well

1. When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.

Refrain
It is well with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.

2. My sin–oh, the joy of this glorious thought–
My sin, not in part but the whole,
is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

3. And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
even so, it is well with my soul.

He Hideth My Soul

1. A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
A wonderful Savior to me,
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,
Where rivers of pleasure I see.

Refrain
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land;
he hideth my life in the depths of His love,
And covers me there with His hand,
And covers me there with His hand.

2. A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
He taketh my burden away,
He holdeth me up, and I shall not be moved,
He giveth me strength as my day.

3. With numberless blessings each moment He crowns,
And filled with His fullness divine,
I sing in my rapture, Oh, Glory to God
For such a Redeemer as mine.

4. When clothed in His brightness, transported I rise
To meet Him in clouds of the sky,
His perfect salvation, His wonderful love,
I’ll shout with the millions on high.

Balm in Gilead

1. There is a balm in Gilead
To make the wounded whole;
There is a balm in Gilead
To heal the sin-sick soul.

2. Sometimes I feel discouraged,
And think my work’s in vain,
But then the Holy Spirit
Revives my soul again.

3. If you can not preach like Peter,
If you can not pray like Paul,
You can tell the love of Jesus,
And say He died for all.

Calvary

The pilgrims throng thro' the city gates
While the night is falling fast;
They go to watch on Calvary's hill
Ere the twilight hours are past;
Though dark be the way, with eyes of faith,
They gaze on His Cross above;
And, lo! from each heart, The shadows depart,
As they list to His words of love,
As they list to His words of love.

"Rest, rest to the weary, Peace, peace to the soul;
Tho' life may be dreary, Earth is not thy goal,
O lay down thy burden, O come unto Me,
I will not forsake thee, I will not forsake thee,
I will not forsake thee, Tho' all else should flee."

Far, far, away, o'er the dream of years
They hear the voice of the King
Where, O Grave, where is thy victory,
And where, O Death is thy sting?
Captive He leads them for evermore;
While weary pilgrims rejoice;
For looking on high to the Cross He bore,
The faithful shall hear His voice,
The faithful shall hear His voice.

"Rest, rest to the weary, Peace, peace to the soul;
Tho' life may be dreary, Earth is not thy goal,
O lay down thy burden, O come unto Me,
I will not forsake thee, I will not forsake thee,
I will not forsake thee, Tho' all else should flee."

Part The Waters

When I think I'm going under, part the waters, Lord
When I feel the waves around me, calm the sea
When I cry for help, oh, hear me, Lord
And hold out Your hand
Touch my life
Still the raging storm in me

Knowing You love me,
through the burdens I must bear
Hearing Your footsteps,
lets me know I'm in Your care
And in the night of my life,
You bring the promise of day
Here is my hand, show me the way

When I think I'm goin' under,
part the waters Lord
When I feel the waves around me, calm the sea
When I cry for help, oh, hear me Lord
and hold out Your hand
Touch my life, and still the raging storm in me

Knowing You love me,
helps me face another day
Hearing Your footsteps,
drives the clouds and fears away
And in the tears of my life,
I see the sorrow You bore
Here is my pain, heal it once more

When I think I'm goin' under,
part the waters Lord
When I feel the waves around me, calm the sea
When I cry for help, oh, hear me Lord
and hold out Your hand
Touch my life, and still the raging storm in me
Touch my life, and still the raging storm in me

Learning To Lean

Learning to lean
Learning to lean,
I'm learning to lean on Jesus
Finding more power than I've ever dreamed
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.

Learning to lean
Learning to lean,
I'm learning to lean on Jesus
Finding more poewr than I've ever dreamed
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.

Sad broken hearted, at an alter I knelt
I found peace that was so serene
And all that He asks is a child like trust
And a heart that is learning to lean

Learning to lean
Learning to lean,
I'm learning to lean on Jesus
Finding more power than I've ever dreamed
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.

There's a glorious victory, each day now for me
I've found peace so serene
He helps me with each task, If I'll only ask
Everyday now I'm learning to lean

Learning to lean
Learning to lean,
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.
Finding more power than I've ever dreamed
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.

Build Your Faith

The faith on which we stand is just as strong as its foundation;
If it's on the Rock, the winds of life won't blow it down.
But if it's built upon the sand, When the storm comes you'll be shaken;
You'll be looking for a place to stand on solid ground.

But if you build your faith before the walls start breaking,
Build your faith before the earth starts shaking,
Build your faith before the storm gets out of control;
If you build your faith upon God's foundation,
Then you'll still be standing when the storm is raging;
Build your faith on the Lord, and you'll have peace in your soul.

To those who trust in Him, God gives a calm assurance
That whatever comes, His love will always stay secure.
So if your hope is getting dim, remember He provides endurance
To take you safely through each storm and keep your footing sure.

So if you build your faith before the walls start breaking,
Build your faith before the earth starts shaking,
Build your faith before the storm gets out of control;
If you build your faith upon God's foundation,
Then you'll still be standing when the storm is raging;
Build your faith on the Lord, and you'll have peace in your soul.

So if you build your faith before the walls start breaking,
Build your faith before the earth starts shaking,
Build your faith before the storm gets out of control;
If you build your faith upon God's foundation,
Then you'll still be standing when the storm is raging;
Build your faith on the Lord, and you'll have peace in your soul.
Build your faith on the Lord, and you'll have peace in your soul.

Do You Know My Jesus?

Have you a heart that's weary,
Tending a load of care;
Are you a soul that's seeking
Rest from the burden you bear?

Chorus:
Do you know my Jesus?
Do you know my friend,
Have you heard He loves you,
And that He will abide till the end?

Where is your heart, O, pilgrim,
What does your light reveal;
Who hears your call for comfort
When naught but sorrow you feel?

Who knows your disappointments,
Who hears each time you cry;
Who understands your heartaches,
Who dries the tears from your eyes?

All Your Anxiety

Is there a heart o’erbound by sorrow?
Is there a life weighed down by care?
Come to the cross, each burden bearing;
All your anxiety—leave it there.

Chorus:
All your anxiety, all your care,
Bring to the mercy seat, leave it there,
Never a burden He cannot bear,
Never a friend like Jesus!

No other friend so swift to help you,
No other friend so quick to hear,
No other place to leave your burden,
No other one to hear your prayer.

Come then at once; delay no longer!
Heed His entreaty kind and sweet,
You need not fear a disappointment;
You shall find peace at the mercy seat.
