There's setbacks and let downs as we walk day by day
sometimes what want does not come our way
then we just look up when we call our dear Friend
we lift up our voice praise heaven again

Our God has great power and shares it with men
He knows all the future and sees where we've been
He'll guide every footstep and show us life's way
protect us while working, asleep while we lay
